About this tool
AI chat interfaces render rich text, and rich text travels badly. Copied output routinely contains non-breaking spaces that break spreadsheet formulas, smart quotes that break code, em dashes a style guide may not want, and occasionally zero-width or tag characters you can’t see at all. This cleaner normalizes the characters — it never rewrites, rephrases, or touches your wording. What hidden characters does AI-generated text contain?
Commonly: non-breaking and narrow spaces, curly quotes and apostrophes, em dashes, and ellipsis characters from the chat renderer. Depending on where the text has traveled, zero-width spaces and other invisible Unicode can be present too. The Findings tab shows exactly what's in yours.
Does this rewrite or paraphrase my text?
No. It's a character-level normalizer: words, sentences, and meaning are untouched. Only individual Unicode characters are replaced or removed, and every change is itemized.
